In order to further grasp the learning life and ideological dynamics of new students after joining the university, on the afternoon of October 20, Shaanxi Key Public Opinion Information Research Center, in conjunction with the Party Committee of NPU's Student Work Department and the School of Marxism, held a seminar for the 2023 undergraduates of NPU.

He Miao, deputy director of the Provincial Public Opinion Centre, introduced to the students the original intention of holding this seminar, and hoped that they would freely express their opinions based on their personal feelings. During the seminar, Peng Rong, deputy director of the Student Work Department, asked questions about students' work and life, Li Gang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Marxism, asked questions about the change in students' status when they joined the school, and He Miao researched the construction of the Ideological and political courses. Representatives of the new students introduced themselves in turn, and at the same time exchanged views on the experience of joining the university for more than one month, course teaching, campus environment, psychological state, and future employment; all of them expressed their high satisfaction after joining the university. Then, the students put forward targeted and constructive opinions, which demonstrated the mission and responsibility of university students in the new era to actively participate in the construction of the university and the development of the country.

After listening carefully to the sharing, Peng Rong congratulated the students on entering NPU to start a new life journey and said that will always put the student's work first place, improve the student work, and endeavour to create a good atmosphere of learning and culture for the students.

Li Gang welcomed the students to NPU and, combined with his own learning and working experience, put forward three points of hope to the students: first, learn to do a good job of role transformation, to adapt to the new environment; second is to be brave to trial and error, dare to challenge, and grow up in the trial and error; third is to be firm ideals and beliefs, not forgetting the original intention, casting a wonderful life.

He Miao thanked the students for talking about the new life of the university in the context of reality, and welcomed students to timely feedback on the ideological and political courses. Finally, encourage students to actively contribute to the development of the university.
