On September 7, 2020, the social practice group during summer holiday of School of Marxism held a practice sharing meeting for 2020 freshmen, which was presided over by Counselor Li Shui. All the 2020 freshmen of School of Marxism, Liu Xin, Secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee of School of Marxism, and Ligang, Deputy Party Secretary of School of Marxism, attended the meeting together.

At the beginning of the meeting, Li Shui introduced the specific situation of the practice group in detail. With the theme of “telling Chinese stories well and highlighting the advantages of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics”, the practice group of School of Marxism of NPU has set up two practice teams respectively and started a practical journey to the countryside.

Ma Xiaoli, a member of the practice group, shared her gains and feelings of this practice: after understanding the significance of “institutional confidence” and “cultural confidence”, we, as the young in the new era, will be able to take theory and practice as the guidance, take every step of our road solidly, and contribute our strength to the construction of a powerful socialist country with modernization.

Zhou Jiaxin, a member of the practice group, shared the in-depth exchanges between the practice group and the medical staff from the Shaanxi Provincial People’s Hospital and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University, who have come to Hubei Province to provide help during the epidemic, about their experience and feelings on the front line of the fight against COVID-19.

At the end of the meeting, Professor Li Gang pointed out that the social practice group during summer holiday of School of Marxism has achieved remarkable results. In this extraordinary year, we, as the youth of School of Marxism, should not only study hard and be diligent, but also actively participate in social practice, be able to face difficulties and do something practical. He hoped that the freshmen could establish a sense of practice, cultivate a spirit of practice, actively participate in practical activities, and continue to explore and be willing to contribute, so as to realize their values of life.
