On 13th April, in order to deepen the teaching reform of ideological and political theory courses, enhance cultural confidence and make good use of the resident resources, representatives of the teachers of the School of Marxism, focusing on the theme of "excellent traditional culture empowers rural revitalisation", went to the Shaanxi Archaeological Museum and Shijing Street of Hu Yi District to carry out a research on the material of ideological and political theory courses through field visits and talks.

In the morning, the teachers arrived at Shaanxi Archaeological Museum, then divided into two teams and visited under the guidance. The visit not only gave the teachers a deeper understanding of the rich history and culture of Shaanxi, but also provided vivid materials for the teaching of ideological and political theory courses. After the visit, the teachers also carried out in-house experience and exchange learning to further enrich their knowledge reserves.

At 14:00, the teachers went to Shijing Street in Hu Yi District and visited the typical cases of rural revitalisation in Caijiapo Village and Suyukou Village.In recent years, with the strong support of the Party Committee and government of Hu Yi District, Caijiapo Village has revitalised its idle resources, cooperated with various art institutions and art colleges, and created tourism business cards such as "Guanzhong Art Festival" and "Zhongnan Rural Fair", which meet the demand for tourism and consumption that brings people close to the countryside and nature, and continue to drive the local villagers to increase their income. Caijiapo Village has been awarded the honours of "National Key Village of Rural Tourism", "Beautiful and Livable Village in Shaanxi Province", "Model Village of Rural Tourism in Shaanxi Province", etc., and has been successfully selected as one of the National Village Practice Bases for Consolidating and Expanding the Achievements of Poverty Eradication and Attack.

At the entrance of Suyukou Village, teachers saw a white wall with the words "Let the whole village drink coffee", which is the famous "Tu Chui" Café.In recent years, more than ten young people from Suyukou Village have returned to the village one after another from the city and become "village entrepreneur".Guangzhou-style morning tea shop, a new style of tea drinks shop and other Internet shops opened one after another, SuYukou village's reputation is also getting louder and louder.At present, SuYukou Village receives more than 300,000 tourists every year, and the total income of rural tourism industry is more than 2 million yuan. Caijiapo Village and Suyukou Village have achieved remarkable results in ecological protection and rural revitalisation in the northern foot of the Qinling Mountains, providing teachers with rich teaching cases and practical experience.

During the research, the teachers discussed how to transform cultural heritage into cultural tourism resources, create a famous brand and become an industrial grip for rural revitalisation.The successful experience of Shijing Street in this regard provided the teachers with valuable insights. In the process of rural revitalisation, the introduction of external resources and the respect and play of the farmers' main position are the key elements.Through the field trip, the teachers learnt about the effective practices of Shijing Street in this regard and the important role played by the Party organisations at both street and village levels.

The research activity not only provided teachers of ideological and political theory courses with valuable teaching materials, but also deepened their understanding of ecological protection and rural revitalisation in the northern foot of the Qinling Mountains. Through the field trip and talks, the teachers gained a deeper understanding of how to combine the excellent traditional culture with modern development and how to promote rural revitalisation while protecting the ecology, which will play a positive role in promoting the teaching reform of ideological and political theory courses in the school.
